Mount Zion Baptist church sits on one of the rockiest roads in Atlanta, but despite the road our church is on, we have our foundation set on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Because of that we have always had a good solid word from God, loving fellowship, and great pastors. Our late Pastor Mckinze always emphasized that we must be born again through the Holy Spirit. Our Late Pastor Hammond gave us a roadmap; letting us know no matter how far down the road of life we travel the ditch (entrapping of the world) will always be on the side of the road. He also taught us to stay focused on God and never cease praying. Now we stand knowing that satan tries to take advantage of every trap that he can. Our current Pastor, Charles Alphabet Jr., teaches that we should stand on John 16:33, “that in this world you shall have tribulation but be of good cheer I have overcome the world.”
